BMe is a free app to Support self-management of bullying.
Bullying is a common problem that affects approximately 25-30% of kids in North America. There are websites for reporting bullies and several cyber-bullying apps that require payment to access. BMe is unique because it is the only app that helps kids 10- 14 years old to understand different types of bullying and provides advice on what they can do to help themselves, how to talk to parents, and resources to get outside help. Many kids are afraid to talk about their experiences and feel they can handle things on their own. BMe is a free, personal coach kids can use if they want self-help and are not yet ready to share bullying problems with others.
BMe has 7 main features: a quiz/assessment for self-identification of bullying, bullying 101, advice, talking to parents/guardians, resources, personal stories, and feedback from users.
